Hello-
I was wondering if you were going to publish an audio book version of “The Three Daves.”
Hi Cheryl,
As a matter of fact, an audio book version of Three Daves is in the plans! Omnific Publishing is getting the audio department set up, so it still may be six to eight months before Three Daves is added to the audio collection. Thanks so much for your interest in it!
I can’t find the blog about Jim Terdina’s App??
Hey Alicia!
I JUST went and posted that blog to the Facebook page. I am just loving West Chicago High School alum right now!
I’m thrilled about the audio book version coming in the future! I will put a reminder in my calendar to check with you again in 6 months to see if it’s available. I’ll definitely have to buy it rather than my usual library renting. Thanks for your quick response.
Oh my,
I had no idea you were an author of a published Novel. Interesting things Twitter reveals. Honestly, I will try to put an eye out for your novel, I am quite comfortable in reading your writing style.

You found me! Ah, so Twitter is actually good for something.
Thanks for being on the lookout for my book – right now it’s only available on-line at Omnific or Amazon. This is a very different story than what you’ve read by me before, so that’s so sweet you’d give it a shot.
I’ve misplaced my alumni magazine, so I don’t know Crackers and the other places faux names. If you could tell me I’d really appreciate it. I’m giving your book to my son, Brigg, who graduated in ’87, for Christmas.
Yours truly,
Mary Finley
Hi Mary! But of course I can tell you—the faux names are The Ritz for E.L. Krackers, Mike’s for Ike’s, and The Downtowner for The Uptowner. You have made my whole week by telling me you’ll be giving Three Daves to a fellow 80s alum! I hope he likes it…and maybe after you could borrow it.
I just read the EIU alumni magazine, and I think it’s awesome that you’ve written a book that included a fictional EIU as the setting. As a fellow EIU graduate (’05), I can’t wait to read your book!
Hooray Ka3yn! I’m thrilled that you’ll be reading the book. I was back on campus at homecoming and saw that all the haunts depicted in the book are still there. I hope you have fun picking them out!
Saw the article in the alum magazine and knew I HAD to order. I was a freshman in Lawson Hall in ’86 – so this story has completed enticed me…and is making me dig out old pictures and remember all those fun times at EIU, Regency Apartments, Jimmy John’s, Cracker’s, Marty’s and the gallons of Aqua Net hairspray used…just to name a few. What fun romp down memory lane and the nod to the late ’80s is making me miss my irresponsible youth. Fun and great book!!! Haven’t finished yet – and will be sad to when the book ends.
Hi Martha! I’m giddy that you are enjoying the book so much and that it’s bringing you back. It’s been so exciting to know EIU alumni are reading it, but also so nerve wracking to wonder what they think of it – so THANK YOU for taking the time leave this comment. I’ll be smiling the rest of the weekend because of it.
Finished the book earlier this week…so sad to have it end! I have recommended the book to my book club and have TOTALLY recommended to other EIU alum. I can’t wait to discuss with my fellow 80s survivors. I’ll have to see about getting a picture of the book taken in some scenic Arizona setting…or run over to the Jimmy John’s at ASU to have it’s picture taken there since I’ve not been back to EIU in almost 20 years.
Thanks for sharing your talents and will look forward to your next book! Martha
Yay, Martha! I’m so happy you liked it all the way through. THANK YOU for the recommendations! I myself have been having a blast reliving the 80s w/ readers. Hey, have you seen the Book Clubs tab at this site? I’ve got a little perk for ya,
And I would LOVE to get a picture of Three Daves anywhere in AZ—ASU would be awesome! Thanks so much for your comments; looks like I get to keep on smiling.
Reallly random question for you, do you have any idea what brand the 3rd pair of shoes (boat shoes) in the image at the top are?
Thanks….
Ummm…well, I guess I don’t know exactly. Sperry Topsider is the only brand I can actually think of. Did Bass do a boat shoe…I’m no help at all, am I? Sorry! But thanks for stopping by.
I gotta chuckle over this because in the 80s I went out with three guys named David. Thank God I didn’t marry one.

Hey Nicki, I see by the comments that your book will be a success and we are glad for you.
Best wishes to you.
The boat shoes look lie Rockport brand.
Nicki,
Loved the book – just finished it! I graduated EIU in 1991. I lived in Lincoln and then Stevenson. Your book transported me right back to college! I have had all these old memories flood back – thanks!!!
